About

I’m Scott Cassin, a recent transplant to Central VT. I spent much of my adult life working as a carpenter & furniture maker in Litchfield, Connecticut.

During that time my gal and I made our home on the remains of an old dairy farm that needed a ton of work, so I taught myself how to operate a big-ish tractor and a variety of attachments in order to shape up the property. I gained 14 years of experience operating my machinery in CT, then in 2023 we decided to seek a new adventure.

We settled in Randolph in 2024 and I brought my power equipment with me… I am now using my machines here in Central VT to help homeowners with a variety of property maintenance jobs.

I do still craft a limited catalog of furniture items in a new workshop I built at my home in Randolph. My furniture website is www.scottcassinfurniture.com if you have any interest in checking out my “other” job.

Services

  • Landscape materials delivered and spread

    Gravel, topsoil, mulch spreading. Your material or I can deliver.

  • Gravel driveway maintenance

    Rough grading, weed busting, finished grooming.

  • Field and brush mowing

    One cut or regular seasonal service.

  • Grapple service

    Hydraulic grapple can be used for moving logs, brush, rocks, other bulky materials.

  • Stump grinder

    Grinds a stump 6-8” below grade with a minimum of damage to surrounding area.

  • Stump wrecker bucket

    Leaves behind a bigger mess than stump grinding but if the stump is in the way, this tool will get it out.

  • Post hole digging

    Powered auger for digging fence posts, pole barns, plantings.

  • Backhoe service

    Digging & trenching jobs of nearly any kind.

  • Limb chipping, storm cleanup

    Downed trees cut up for firewood. Limbs smaller than 3-4" diameter chipped.

  • Landscape rake

    Prepare soil for seeding. Groom gravel driveway.

  • Rock and root bucket

    Remove rocks, roots and other debris from soil.

  • Freight handling

    Pallet forks for loading or unloading up to about 1300 lbs.
